What’s in the box
| Sheaths, 44 cm, for frozen straws | 100× (sheaths pack) |
| Fresh-semen tubes, 43 cm, blue with yellow hub | 100× (tubes pack) |
| 100 of each | both bags |
- Made for the Scope rod. The 44 cm sheaths take the 46 cm insemination rod of Kiba Scope Goat & Sheep with a 0.25 or 0.5 ml straw loaded, the usual sizes for frozen buck and ram semen.
- Fresh semen too. The blue 43 cm tubes with a yellow hub are for fresh or chilled semen, the same tubes as the twenty in the gun box.
- A fresh one every time. The sheath or tube is the part that goes in, so it is used once and thrown away. A clean start for every doe or ewe.
- Stocked before the season. Twenty of each come with the gun. A bag of a hundred covers most small flocks and herds for a season; keep one with the Scope.
Single use: a fresh sheath or tube for every doe or ewe, thrown away afterwards. Breeding supplies for Kiba Scope Goat & Sheep, not a veterinary device.
Secure checkout. Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
The parts you use up
A fresh one for every doe and ewe.
Everything in the Kiba Scope Goat & Sheep kit is used again and again except the sheath and the fresh-semen tube: each goes in once and is thrown away. Twenty of each come in the box. A bag of a hundred keeps you going through the season.
How a sheath is used
From the bag to the bin

One out of the bag
Take one sheath out of the bag and close the bag again so the rest stay clean. Hold it by the open end and keep the tip off the bench.

Rod into the sheath
With the thawed straw loaded in the 46 cm rod, slide the rod into the sheath all the way to the tip. For fresh semen, use a blue tube instead.

Through the Scope
Feed the sheathed rod or the tube through the port at the back of the grip of Kiba Scope Goat & Sheep and place the semen with the cervix on the screen.

Into the bin
Draw the rod back out, slide the used sheath off or take the tube out, and throw it away. Clean the rod and the probe before the next animal.

Ready on the day
Keep a bag with the Scope.
Her heat is short, and the sheath or tube is the one part you cannot clean and use again. A bag of each on the shelf beside the Scope means the morning she stands is never the morning you run out.
- 44 cm sheaths for 0.25 and 0.5 ml straws
- 43 cm tubes for fresh semen
- Fit Kiba Scope Goat & Sheep
Our promise
