Check the dose before you breed the mare
Cooled semen loses motility in transit and a frozen straw has to survive the thaw. Kiba Lens warms one drop to 37 °C and shows the sperm moving on a 7 or 9 inch screen, so the person who prepared the mare and the person handling the dose see the same picture before anyone commits. Kiba Count is a reusable glass counting chamber for the same microscope: one undiluted drop, count a row of squares, and you have millions per millilitre. The Lens + Count bundle puts both in one box and saves US$99.

What these tools are not
They are not veterinary devices and not a laboratory semen analysis. Lens shows movement and Count gives a concentration; neither grades fertility or predicts a pregnancy, and your vet remains the right person for a breeding soundness exam.
