What’s in the box
| Insemination sheaths, 70 cm, for Kiba Scope Cattle | 100× or 300× |
- Made for the Scope Cattle rod. Seventy centimetres long to match the 70 cm insemination rod of Kiba Scope Cattle, for 0.25 and 0.5 ml straws.
- A fresh one for every cow. The sheath is the part that goes in, so it is used once and thrown away. Clean breeding between cows starts with a new sheath.
- Smooth, flexible, strong. A smooth rounded tip, a body that bends without kinking and a seamless welded end that the maker says does not leak or split.
- Stocked before the season. A bag of a hundred covers a season for most small herds. Keep one with the Scope so the morning she is ready is never the morning you run out.
Single use: a fresh sheath for every cow, thrown away afterwards. Spare sheaths are breeding supplies for Kiba Scope Cattle, not a veterinary device.
Secure checkout. Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
The one part you use up
A fresh sheath for every cow.
Everything in the Kiba Scope Cattle kit is used again and again except the sheath: it goes in once and is thrown away. Twenty-five come in the box. A bag of a hundred keeps you going through the season.
How a sheath is used
From the bag to the bin

One out of the bag
Take one sheath out of the bag and close the bag again so the rest stay clean. Hold it by the open end and keep the tip off the bench.

Rod into the sheath
With the thawed straw loaded in the 70 cm rod, slide the rod into the sheath all the way to the tip.

Through the Scope
Feed the sheathed rod through the port at the back of the grip of Kiba Scope Cattle and place the semen with the cervix on the screen.

Into the bin
Draw the rod back out, slide the used sheath off and throw it away. Clean the rod and the probe before the next cow.

Ready on the day
Keep a bag with the Scope.
Her heat lasts less than a day, and the sheath is the one part you cannot clean and use again. A spare bag on the shelf beside the Scope means the morning she is ready is never the morning you run out.
- 70 cm, smooth rounded tip
- 0.25 and 0.5 ml straws
- Fits the Kiba Scope Cattle rod
Our promise
Stocked before breeding season.
