  • Fifty gloves to the shoulder. Thin, clear disposable sleeves about 90 cm long, so the whole arm is covered when you palpate and guide the gun. One per cow, then the bin.
  • Gel that goes on the glove. A 250 ml squeeze bottle of clear water-based lubricating gel for the gloved arm. The maker makes it for artificial insemination, so it is made to be used around semen.
  • A season in one pack. Fifty cows gloved and gel to spare: for most small herds one pack covers the breeding season. Keep it on the shelf beside the Scope.
  • Sheaths sold alongside. The sheath over the rod is the third thing you use up. Twenty-five come with the gun; spare 70 cm sheaths come in bags of 100 or 300, and the breeding season kit on the gun page adds both with the Thaw cup.

Single use: a fresh glove for every cow. Breeding supplies for Kiba Scope Cattle, for experienced hands; not a veterinary device.

The two things on your arm

Glove, gel. Every cow.

The gun, the probe and the screen last for years. What runs out is the glove on your arm and the gel on the glove, and the morning a cow stands is the wrong morning to find the box empty. This pack is a season of both.

How the kit is used

From the box to the bin, one cow at a time

Gloved hands pulling a fresh shoulder-length glove out of a white box on a barn workbench, the gel bottle and a bag of sheaths beside it
Before

Glove on

Take one glove from the box and pull it on right up to the shoulder. Close the box so the rest stay clean.

Gel

Gel on the glove

Squeeze gel from the bottle onto the gloved hand and forearm. It is water-based and made for insemination work, so it can be used around the straw.

Inseminate

Through the Scope

With the loaded rod in a fresh sheath, feed it through the port at the back of the grip of Kiba Scope Cattle and place the semen with the cervix on the screen.

After

Glove off, into the bin

Peel the glove off inside out and drop it in the bin with the used sheath. Clean the rod and the probe, and take a fresh glove for the next cow.

On the shelf by the chute

One pack, a season.

Fifty gloves and a bottle of gel cover a season for most small herds: a glove for every cow bred once or twice, and gel to spare. Keep the pack beside the Scope, the sheaths and the thaw cup so the morning she stands, nothing is missing.

  • 50 shoulder-length gloves
  • 250 ml water-based gel
  • Made for insemination work

The third thing

Add the sheaths.

A fresh 70 cm sheath goes over the loaded rod for every cow too. Twenty-five come in the Scope Cattle box; spare Kiba Scope Cattle Sheaths come in bags of 100 or 300. On the gun page the breeding season kit adds a hundred sheaths, this pack and the Thaw cup with US$45 off.

  • Sheaths in bags of 100 or 300
  • 70 cm, for the Scope Cattle rod
  • US$45 off in the breeding season kit

Questions

Good to know before you order.

Something we haven’t covered? Email info@kibaclub.com and a person replies within 24 hours.

What exactly is in the pack?
Fifty shoulder-length disposable gloves about 90 cm long and one 250 ml squeeze bottle of clear water-based lubricating gel. Sheaths are not in this pack; they are sold separately.
Is the gel safe around semen?
The maker makes this gel for artificial insemination and describes it as water-based and made to be used around semen. It goes on the glove and the arm, not on the sheath. Follow your semen supplier’s guidance on handling straws.
How many cows does a pack cover?
One glove per insemination, so fifty cows. A herd of 40 cows bred once a season fits inside one pack; bred twice, take two.
Where are the sheaths?
Sold separately so you can choose the count: Kiba Scope Cattle Sheaths come in bags of 100 for US$49 or 300 for US$129. On the Kiba Scope Cattle page the breeding season kit adds a hundred sheaths, this pack and the Thaw cup with US$45 off.
Are the gloves sterile?
We do not promise sterile or individually wrapped gloves: they come in a box of fifty. Keep the box closed between cows.
Can I get the pack cheaper with the gun?
Yes. On the Kiba Scope Cattle page the breeding season kit adds this pack, a hundred sheaths and the Kiba Thaw cup with the gun, and US$45 comes off the three automatically at checkout.
I don’t have Kiba Scope Cattle yet. Where do I start?
Start with Kiba Scope Cattle: it comes with 25 sheaths. This pack and the spare sheaths are the refills for the season.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are prepared within 1 to 3 business days and delivered by tracked courier, usually in 5 to 10 business days. Shipping is free and you get a tracking number by email.
Can I return it?
Unopened packs within 30 days of delivery, yes. Opened gloves or gel cannot be returned for hygiene reasons. If a pack arrives damaged, we replace it.
